Job Description

Be the face of the business across EMEA region, managing the identification, successful negotiation, acquisition and execution of large complex contracts and joint ventures in the region Manage the acquisition and qualification of new market and licence partner opportunities within EMEA to ensure they fit with company growth plans, engineering capacity and relevance to products Provide regular updates on the commercial pipeline and progress in converting opportunities within the EMEA region Act as a strong link between the commercial team and technical team to provide a clear voice of the customer and ensure a sound understanding of the technology roadmap and future applications for the companies technology Collaborate with and provide support to the wider regional business development team Collaborate with the Business Line Directors and other key internal stakeholders in pre-contract discussions with potential partners, to support the creation of business cases, ensure appropriate protection of IP, assist in cost/price modelling and input into contractual aspects Write proposals, build business cases, develop and negotiate heads of terms for strong qualified opportunities Collaborate with the product strategy and marketing team to ensure clear technology positioning, segmentation and messaging and support the production of specific collateral Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organisation’s and competitors’ products and/or services Attend and participate in appropriate conferences and events aligned to the company’s technology to promote its application to potential clients, partners and the analyst community and helping articulate the strategic vision of our clients technology. Maintain a relevant stakeholder network in region to ensure brand image remains strong Act as an inspiring leader and ambassador for technology internally, leading by example and promoting company values of wholehearted commitment, creative collaboration and pioneering with precision as displayed through own personal behaviours Experienced and established Business Development leader within the power generation and hydrogen technology industries Successful and demonstrable track record of winning and executing high value complex contracts within the industrial process engineering and marine industries Excellent collaboration and commercial leaderships skills, with experience of operating at Director level within a comparable or larger organisation, defining and shaping business development strategy Proven strategic thinker with experience of growing a business Experience of 'selling' consultatively managing multiple stakeholders Extensive negotiation experience Experience of developing new markets/introducing products and ideas into new areas Multi-lingual, (Spanish Speaking preferred.)
