Campus Location: North Sydney, Australia | Melbourne, Australia Job No: APTAV101331#009 Pivotal role to drive the establishment of ACU's new Graduate Research School Contribute to the university's ambitious postgraduate research program Full time, five (5) year senior staff appointment, with competitive remuneration Melbourne or North Sydney based We are seeking an accomplished leader with the capacity to inform the strategic direction of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) activities in alignment with the university's unique Mission and Strategic Plan and drive the growth of research income through external scholarship funding domestically and internationally. Central to ACU's mission is a commitment to truly student-centred education; research that is impactful, engaging and responsive to society's rapidly changing needs; and a strong, vibrant and sustainable university culture. As a key member of the research leadership team, you will develop all facets of graduate research at the university, by providing strategic and operational advice to, and working collaboratively with, the Pro Vice Chancellor Research Impact and other stakeholders, while managing the establishment and operations of ACU's new Graduate Research School. Managing a small team, you'll engage your administrative, business development and entrepreneurial abilities to effectively shape research strategy, policy development, program compliance, student data analysis, budgeting and marketing. With a recognised track record of achievement as a senior leader within universities or research institutes and/or large research-intensive organizations, your ability to develop programs to recruit, support and retain Research Higher Degree students will enhance the university's continued research success and diversification. Key to your success will be in your ability to engage with and develop strategic domestic and international partnerships externally to increase and diversify research funding. The strength of your internal relationships will enable the integration and impact of postgraduate research initiatives throughout the university's research community, including its faculties, institutes and centres.
