Reporting into our Head of Service, you will work in a team alongside Accountants & Snr. Accountants to support our portfolio of small business customers ensure they have set their finances up for success. There is a clear career trajectory in the team, with opportunities to support CA/CPA qualifications, alongside the opportunity to grow through our career path into more Snr. Financial roles, Leadership roles & lateral opportunities. We plan to scale quickly & are funded for high growth, meaning there will be many exciting further future opportunities. Key Responsibilities Developing relationships with your allocated clients by managing their accounting and payroll, including: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero Processing pays using Xero Payroll Processing invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely and accurate manner Reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial records Responding to any queries, escalating where necessary to ensure a timely and accurate response Supporting senior team members with the preparation of client lodgment obligations and insightful management information Ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience in every interaction Requirements 1+ year of accounting experience, perhaps as an Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant etc. Proficiency in Xero Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively Enjoy working in a small but growing team, focused on delivering to their clients Be passionate about the customer, you will be passionate about the SME market & how we can change the landscape & stresses that come with finance. You may potentially have a desire to work closer to the clients as you continue to progress & grow Payroll experience & Xero payroll is advantageous Experience with BAS is a plus but not essential!
