The Role Due to the continued growth at Venn Digital we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team. We are looking to find a creative, passionate Front-end Developer who is eager to get stuck in. You will work with an incredibly talented and friendly team, and as part of the Development team you will be responsible for the development, implementation, testing and optimisation of all aspects of website builds and HTML emailers. You will work with your squad (PM, Strategists, Designers, Developers & Testers) on solutions that creatively meet the brief within a given budget. You will pride yourself in producing high quality code in line with the latest accessibility and responsiveness standard. We are looking for someone to help take our front-end builds to the next level using JavaScript animation, a good knowledge of JavaScript plugins is imperative. Your Responsibilities Taking layered design concepts and converting them into well-formatted Semantic Markup – HTML5 and CSS / SASS – A pixel perfect attention to web-builds. Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. Using client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks or pre-made libraries such as jQuery to add interactive elements to enhance the user experience. Working with your squad to ensure projects are delivered to the brief, on time and within budget Liasing with our support desk manager to ensure that our existing websites are well maintained, including identifying and fixing any website errors. Staying on-top of the latest design practices and industry trends, constantly looking for inspiration, innovation and ideas and sharing your knowledge with the team at the end of each week. As an evolving business there may be requirements to learn new skills, languages, frameworks etc so an eager to learn attitude is a bonus. We’d love to hear from you if you have: An extensive portfolio. At least 1 years industry experience A passion for development. Extensive Javascript knowledge. The Requirements / Key Skills Proficiency working with the bootstrap framework. Proficiency using Saas Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly XD A ‘design in browser’ approach to your builds. Experience working alongside developers, back-end engineers, and designers. Experience working with custom CMSs to build, own, enhance and maintain our code. Highly motivated and pro-active. Nice to have Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX. Version control – Git Ability to work with third party integrations to improve the customer experience. Knowledge of UX design, Visual design, interface design, layouts, and graphics.
